It appears that gambling website Nine.com decided to offer supermodel Kate Moss a £5million to become the face of their site.

Nine.com spokesman Jack Abrams said its clients were not bothered about the Croydon-born star’s recent scandal. ‘We did a quick focus group with some customers to see if they would be offended in any way and the response was an overwhelming, “No - please get Kate Moss as your spokesperson”.’

    Can I help you?

Blogged under Leisure, Today Inbox by mc on Friday 30 September 2005 at 10:21 am

A guy walks into a pub and sees a sign hanging over the bar that reads, “Cheese sandwich: $1.50; Chicken sandwich: $2.50; Handjob: $10.”

Checking his wallet for the necessary payment, the man walks up to the bar and beckons to one of the three hot waitresses. “Yes?” she inquires with a knowing smile. “Can I help you?”

“I was wondering,” whispers the man. “Are you the one who gives the handjobs?”

“Yes,” she purrs. “Indeed I am.”

The man replies, “Well, wash your damn hands. I want a cheese sandwich!”

    Kate Moss retires?

Blogged under Celebrities, Fashion by mc on Friday 30 September 2005 at 9:39 am

Supermodel Kate Moss decided to retire form the catwalk, after the last week’s scandal. Moss, 31, was photographed by Daily Mirror journalists snorting a line of the class A drug on the back of a CD cover, in the studio where Babyshambles were recording their album.

Since then, Kate has lost some big contracts with Chanel, H&M, Burberry and H Stern, because of the drug allegations.

    biography

Katherine Moss, who has become one of the most recognized and highest paid supermodels of the ’90s, was born in Croydon, Surrey, England, on January 16, 1974.

Kate’s entry into the fashion industry all started in 1988, when she and her family were in JFK Airport on their way back from a vacation in the Bahamas. The then 14-year-old Kate caught the eye of Sarah Ducas of Storm Agency, who approached her. This chance encounter was the launching pad of Kate’s hugely successful career.

    Sex is Good

Blogged under Uncategorized by mc on Friday 30 September 2005 at 9:03 am

    Sex Boosts Your Immune System
Orgasms boost infection-fighting cells up by 20 per cent… so says Dr Dudley Chapman, a gynaecologist. Someone should call this the sex vaccine.

    Sex Reduces Stress
“During arousal, your muscles tense; during orgasm, they twitch, then relax completely,” says ’50s sex researcher, Alfred Kinsey. This may explain why the institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality has found people with fulfilling sex lives less anxious, violent and hostile- the perfect tranquilizer for those who slog all day in the office for that big promotion.

    Sex Relieves Pain
In studies carried out by researchers Beverly Whipple and Barry Komisaruk from Rutgers University, New Jersey, women with conditions such as arthritis and whiplash gain a higher pain threshold through regular orgasms. Historically, midwives advised women to masturbate to orgasm to relieve labour pains. (Quite a tall order considering you have to do it in front of those nurses.)

    Sex Can Cure Headaches
A South Illinois School Of Medicine study on 52 migraine sufferers reported that 16 experienced considerable relief after an orgasm and another eight had their headaches completely gone. No reason now to say, “Not tonight honey, I’m having a headache.”

    Greentea can prevent cancer too

Blogged under Dining | Recipe, Health by mc on Thursday 29 September 2005 at 4:57 pm

Studies conducted by the University of Murcia in Spain and the John Innes Center in Norwich, England have discovered that green tea can prevent cancer cells from growing.

Green tea contains a compound called EGCG. The EGCG stops cancer cells from growing by binding with an enzyme, called dihydrofolate reductase, in the body.

Scientists have also found that the structure of EGCG is very similar to to a cancer drug called methotrexate. They discovered that EGCG kills cancer cells in the same way that the cancer drug does.

These findings have promoted studies about EGCG based cancer treatment. This would mean less side effects, as ECGC does not aggressively attack healthy cells.
