Actress Keira Knightley was voted the world’s sexiest woman in a magazine poll Thursday, beating model Keeley Hazel and Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson into second and third place respectively.

The poll, which British magazine FHM said was based on 2 million votes, saw homegrown model and TV presenter Kelly Brook slip to fifth from first last year, while Angelina Jolie, expecting a baby in mid-May, came fourth.

Beyonce Knowles was the sexiest pop star at No.7 and Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova the top sportswoman at No. 56.

FHM said the poll was the only one of its kind voted for entirely by the British public.

A museum in north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region claims it has fragments of a brassiere and a pair of embroidered slippers that are nearly 1,000 years old.

Nick Lachey has revealed his new album is about his estranged wife Jessica Simpson. The former ‘98 Degrees’ frontman claims his solo album, ‘What’s Left Of Me’, candidly deals with the pair’s marriage breakdown.

However, Nick insists the record is not an attack on Jessica and is inspired by his love for her. He confessed to America’s People magazine: “It’s not in any way vindictive or an assault on her. In a lot of ways, it’s more of an assault on me.”

Lachey, who says his biggest fear is being alone, recently admitted he has become guarded since separating from Jessica and “can’t be as open with people because I’ve been burned.” Simpson, 25, filed for divorce last December after three years of marriage.
