French Connection UK, the apparel retailer also known as acronym “FCUK,” has join-ventured with Capitol Records in a series of in-store events called “Sounds of Summer and contest,” consists of rising artists Van Hunt and Corinne Bailey Rae.

Van Hunt, who sings punk and blues, with a mix of rock will make performance in stores beginning today (July 27) in New York, then later to Miami (July 28), Santa Monica (Aug. 3) and San Francisco (Aug. 4). Representatives from both companies will judge demos and photo submitted by contestants.

The contest gives opportunity to win a professional demo recorded at the Capitol Records studio in Los Angeles and produced by Van Hunt;
