“My little dragon friend; Jackie Chan was introduced to me by my late wife, Rosaline and we struck up a close friendship and understanding immediately because we had a lot in common” said Tan Sri (Dr.) Francis Yeoh during the press conference announcing Starhill’s upcoming addition. 

Jackie Chan, who is most commonly known as a comedian and martial arts expert, was also appointed as Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF and has contributed to Action in Mental Health, Operation Smile, Walk with Pride, Dragon’s Heart Charity and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) to name a few.

Chan has also earned many prestigious awards and accolades for his charity, humanitarian and public service work and was included in the Forbes’ May 2006 list of 10 ‘Generous Celebs’. Chan has devoted time to a variety of endeavours, including good works through his charitable foundation, which supports youth development programmes, scholarships and support of the performing arts.
