Kate Moss’s latest magazine cover has boosted i-D magazine’s sales in Borders stores. Now ain’t that sweet, considering this is a model that does drugs and looks like a waif. So she’s practically a face that launches a thousand fold increase in sales.
The November issue of i-D magazine, which unveils a new peroxide look for the supermodel, has given the magazine a 56 per cent sales increase across the 42 Borders stores in the UK in the last week - and a 900 per cent increase at its store on London’s Oxford Street.
Borders found that copies started flying off the shelves almost as soon as the magazine went on sale on October 14, and it is now sitting pretty at the top of the culture charts.
